Job Summary

Ms. Lam Montessori is a Mandarin-Immersion Elementary Montessori School located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

We are looking for a Mandarin-speaking Assistant Elementary Teacher. This position starts immediately. The hours are from 8:30am-5:30pm with one-hour break.

Job Duties

Collaborate with our team of Elementary teachers to support our students in a unique, mixed-age Montessori environment.
Give Mandarin lessons in speaking, reading and writing. Must have a deep and passionate interest in Chinese culture.
Emotionally-intelligent individual with the ability to help children learn and work together.
Communicates well with the Elementary Team, Director and Administrative staff

Requirements

Excellent command of Chinese language
Experience with the bopomofo/Taiwanese alphabet system a plus but not necessary
1-2 years of experience working in classrooms
Enjoys working with elementary-age children
Interested in Montessori and growth as an elementary teacher

Salary

$38,000-$48,000, commensurate with experience
Excellent benefit package.
